About OraPub Consulting
Oracle systems performance management consulting is central to OraPub's knowledge dissemination strategy. Since OraPub's inception in 1998 we have fed our raw research and field experiences into our consulting engagements.
By design our consulting services have a training bent to them so we are not just solving a problem, but helping our customers solve their problems now and into the future. In every engagements OraPub's founder and Oracle ACE Director Craig Shallahamer is deeply involved.
Our role is definable by you. We engage in a variety of ways from project scoping and management, to quality assurance and review, as well as personally performing the deep technical work.
Our team is led by industry leader and Oracle ACE Director, Craig Shallahamer. Depending on the project's scope, OraPub may bring others into the project. If so, each individual is personally selected by Mr. Shallahamer from OraPub's vast professional network.
OraPub consults everywhere in the world. Being an established company for over ten years, we have worked in 23 countries on 6 continents. While we all prefer remote work and strive to minimize costs, we also recognize the value of face-to-face interaction.
We do not accept every request to consult. Our expertise is very deep and very specific. Therefore, we take special care to ensure we will provide the exceptional value you expect. If what you need is something we don't provide, we will help direct you to an organization that will serve you with distinction.
Performance optimization engagements are usually of relatively short duration (a few hours to a few days) focusing on diagnosing the situation with spot-on accuracy, providing a number of solutions, and presenting the complex analysis in such a way everyone (both the technically focused and challenged) gains a clear understanding of the situation and what can be done. We work to build consensus.
Performance planning engagements apply the science of predictive analysis to practical business areas such as server consolidation, alternative hardware analysis, expected and unexpected workload change, new and revised SQL inclusion, and RAC. We help you determine future requirements to reduce the risk of a capacity shortfall while at the same time not overspend.
The best way to get started is to simply summarize the situation in an email to orapub.general @gmail.com. Please feel free to also call us at +1.503.636.0228. This will start the dialogue about the scope, timing, cost, etc.
If you have any questions please feel free to either email or call. And, if you want to speak directly with Craig, just ask.
