  • This introductory Excel based tool allows one to perform simple but robust CPU related forecasts. The workbook contains five worksheets to guide you through the entire forecasting process; from data gathering, creating the forecast model, validating the forecast model, showing you where your system currents sits on the response time curve, performing workload related what if forecasts, and forecasting workload changes. The worksheet includes both graphs and numerics to help in the learning process. The worksheet was created with beginner Excel users in mind. For example, no variables (unfortunately) where used.

  • If you want a more robust forecast spreadsheet, which will typically provide a higher precision model, check out the enhanced CPU forecast model. Just do an OraPub search on "cpu enhanced forecast".
