This is a simple data collection script written for Linux, but it can easily be modified for other platforms. If you look closely, you�ll discover it not only collects CPU and IO activity, but also a few general Oracle workload statistics. The script creates output files for each collection area: CPU, IO, and Oracle data. Each file is in comma-delimited format, so it can be easily loaded into Oracle or a spreadsheet program for processing and analysis.
