  • This is a simple data collection script written for Linux, but it can easily be modified for other platforms. If you look closely, you’ll discover it not only collects CPU and IO activity, but also a few general Oracle workload statistics. The script creates output files for each collection area: CPU, IO, and Oracle data. Each file is in comma-delimited format, so it can be easily loaded into Oracle or a spreadsheet program for processing and analysis.
